Whether it is homelessness or healthcare, Leonard has fought hard for the community he represents and has dedicated his career to working hard people in Nanaimo.

Leonard was director and president of the Mid-Island Consumer Services Co-operative, chair of the United Way for Nanaimo and has been involved in a number of other community based organizations and initiatives. Leonard has also been a lawyer in Nanaimo since 1980 and owns a practice working alongside his wife and son who are fellow lawyers.

For nearly 15 years, Leonard has seen how Christy Clark’s decisions are hurting the people in Nanaimo. Whether it’s the loss of jobs in the forestry sector, increasing MSP, Hydro and ICBC fees, or the gutting of our healthcare system, he knows that these decisions aren’t serving the people of Nanaimo and that we can’t afford another four years of Christy Clark.

That’s why Leonard is standing with John Horgan, Leader of the BC NDP. John is the right person to fix the mess created by Christy Clark. Leonard is proud of John’s commitment to investing in health care and affordable housing and working to create jobs that pay well and jobs that last.

A John Horgan New Democrat government would be a government that works for all British Columbians – including the people of Nanaimo. It’s time for a change and time to build a better BC.
